Income Tax Returns

After 2010, first quarter of 2011 is said to be the tax season. This is my first time to file an income tax returns because this is my first job ever and adding the fact that I was hired and started working before 2010 ended. My brother helped me to file those taxes earlier.

The good news is I got federal and state refunds on my taxes. Not that much but enough for me to buy and book my round trip plane ticket to Hilo next month. Filing those taxes got a lot of steps but I guess, its worth the time...talk about refunds? yeah!

My refunds will take effect within or after 10 days.

Everyday is a Valentine's Day

Love…

Why do this word was always the talk of the town as February hits the calendar every year? Love sets no month or date. Love means “everyday”. Just because it’s Valentine’s Day? I guess, maybe, it’s all about traditions imbibed by those prominent and astute people in the past. We grew with the belief that February is the month of love, reminiscing love at its best, enjoying love at its loveliness. They even considered, well at least sometimes, that this month is only for romantic people, boyfriend-girlfriends, and couples, people involved in romance, whatever! What about those lonesome folks? I don’t know but I have the feeling, this month is likely unmerited. People who are very much in love with their partners celebrate Valentines a lot with dozens of red flowers, sweet and creamy chocolates, endearing and eye-catching red-hearted balloons, exclusive dinner, champagne, and even (condoms?).  People, who are alone, single and widowed hated Valentines a lot. It’s unfair, isn’t it? It shouldn't be.

Mind you people, everyday of our precious life gyrates about love. We are loved by God, by our friends, by our family. Let’s celebrate love everyday not just on Valentine’s Day or on February because every day is a Valentine’s Day!
